Despite a wide selection of model buildings, the offer becomes relatively small as soon as you search for models that are typical for a specific region. Although many of the commercially available townhouses are also conceivable in a model city that is designed according to the Viennese model - the typical suburban and Wilhelminian style houses are missing.
As a small series manufacturer, artbeeren has set itself the goal of closing this gap or at least contributing to it. It all started with the "Small Vienna Suburban House", whose style was typical of the 19th century. Houses like this can still be found in large numbers in the inner districts.
With our models, we attach great importance to the correctness of architectural features as well as to the realistic impression of depth and structure. However, we are aware that the H0 scale forces compromises in terms of size and dimensioning. Therefore, the scale is not followed slavishly, but adapted to the conditions of model railroad layouts and dioramas as well as to the existing standards.
Coloring is largely dispensed with, since in laser cut technology this is usually subject to the limited color palette of the material and is impaired by the targeted combustion. Selling the traces of burns as a natural patina is not our thing. We refrain from subsequent coloring on our part, since this either has to lead to unacceptable compromises or, due to the effort involved, leads to an excessively high sales price.
Since we are aimed at experienced model builders and cardboard forms an ideal painting surface, we see the coloring as an essential part of creating an individual one-off.
